How can Romania remain a competitive investment destination for business services?

Over the past decade, the business services sector has been a pillar to Romania’s economy, with a growth rate which continuously outpaced overall economy. In 2023, this sector’s contribution to GDP was the highest in the Central Europe, reaching 10.5% (including IT services).

We have a well-trained workforce, a high rate of technology adoption and competitive costs. But how competitive is Romania in attracting potential investors in business services compared to the region? The “CE Business Services Comparative Analysis 2024”, recently conducted by Deloitte in collaboration with ABSL Romania, analyzes the country’s strengths and the factors that could support continued growth in the future.
