Cotherm

Cotherm is an industrial group founded in 1948, a leader in temperature and energy regulation, safety and control solutions, whose aim is to provide its customers with: safety, comfort, energy savings and low environmental impact.

Cotherm designs and markets its products for equipment manufacturers for domestic and professional applications such as domestic hot water (water heaters), space heating (boilers, heat pumps, radiators), industrial equipment (industrial cleaning, heat treatment), spas and saunas and catering equipment (ovens, deep fryers, electric coffee makers, hot holding cabinets, etc.).

Cotherm produces over 14 million thermostats and heating elements a year at 4 sites.

• Cotherm's head office is in Vinay in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and employs 150 people: marketing, sales, R&D, laboratories, supply-chain, management, production on a 6350 m² site.
• A 4500m² thermostats and security manufacturing plant in Tunisia with over 700 employees.
• A thermostats and heating elements manufacturing plant in Egypt, with an area of 2,500 m² and more than 250 employees.
• A thermostats and heating elements manufacturing plant in Romania, with a surface area of 800 m² and around ten employees.
• A sales subsidiary in England, in the United States and in Egypt.
• The Group generates 80% of its sales from exports to over 60 countries on 5 continents.

Cotherm is an exclusive support service. We anticipate market needs and advise on the most appropriate solution for each customer's strategy. We design the solution using appropriate, certified technical platforms to ensure optimum planning control. We then qualify the customer's application to ensure that the solution meets the required performance and security standards. Finally, we provide support to ensure a seamless supply chain from the first order, guaranteeing a successful introduction and for each renewal order.

R&D and application laboratories

R&D involves a team of over 20 people based at the Vinay site, and over 6% of the turnover in improving industrial processes and product innovation. Our expertise in development, fine-tuning and testing, in collaboration with our customers, goes hand in hand with our entire product offering. Cotherm also provides testing services, with investments in energy efficiency measurement laboratories for electric or thermodynamic water heater and electric heating applications, and endurance and safety laboratories for all types of applications.
