Junior Achievement (JA) Romania

Junior Achievement (JA) Romania, a member of JA Worldwide and JA Europe, is the largest and most dynamic organization in Romania focused on applied economics, entrepreneurship and employability skills. JA Romania develops free international programs based on formal education, in which school, high school and university students are provided with real life learning experiences. 

JA Romania’s “learning by doing” programs, powered by mentors from the entire business community, take a practical approach to learning, providing innovative methods of teaching and aiming to help young people to develop effective teamwork, leadership, communication and creative skills.

The international JA curriculum was adapted to the Romanian educational system and is freely available in Junior Achievement in-class programs (optional curriculum, extracurricular activities, mentoring, after school learning activities, independent subjects) through partnership with the Ministry of National Education, educational institutions and due to a financial contribution from the business environment, which amounts to over 95% of the entire budget of the Organization.

• Over 200.000 learning materials, freely distributed to students year after year

• Training sessions for teachers – engaging with course content either face-to-face or online, by attending a webinar

• Online and onsite student assessment, in order to ensure that JA training programs have been effective

• Business volunteers continuously working together to provide students and teachers with all the advice they need
